We're unashamedly fan-girling at the fact we've secured the utterly brilliant Australian writer, director and producer Sophie Hyde as one of our Guest Judges at Stellar 2020 🙌🎥🥂 Sophie’s debut fiction film, '52 Tuesdays', (director/producer/co-writer) won the directing award at Sundance and the Crystal Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her second film, 'Animals', premiered at Sundance and was released this year in Australia, the UK, and Ireland. She also created, produced and directed Episode 4 of the acclaimed 4x1 hour series for SBS, 'The Hunting', starring Asher Keddie and Richard Roxburgh, which many of you would have seen on TV just a few months ago (and you can still catch it on SBS On Demand!) Sophie is co-founder of film collaborative Closer Productions, and also works as a producer, with a strong belief in nurturing new voices. She produced the feature documentary 'In My Blood It Runs', which premiered this year at HotDocs and was an official selection at the Melbourne International Film Festival. We can't wait to welcome Sophie to Stellar and have her expertise on our panel.
Were you one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy the Roseade before it sold out at our festival this year? It's certainly the drink that brings the good vibes! The Roseade team will be back in 2020 to serve up their delicious combo of Rosé wine and traditional lemonade with a bit o’ spritz. This zesty number is fun, funky and spreads nothing but good times. If you didn’t get to try it, we highly recommend you do. Available in our VIP area and to purchase for General Admission guests.
