Returning in 2021, Women in Film Lunch, presented by Screen Queensland, celebrates the stories, perspectives and experiences of women working in the Australian screen industry. This year’s Women In Film Lunch guest speaker is costume designer Anna Borghesi.
Anna Borghesi is an award-winning costume designer with over 25 years’ experience in film, television and theatre. Her film credits include Hotel Mumbai, Ali’s Wedding, Red Dog: True Blue, Mao’s Last Dancer, Ned Kelly, Darkness Falls, Pitch Black, and Romper Stomper, amongst numerous television credits including Romper Stomper for STAN. In 2003, Anna won the AFI Award for Best Costume Design for the film Ned Kelly.
Hosted by Bern Young from ABC Gold Coast, with an introduction from Screen Queensland CEO Kylie Munnich, this exclusive event includes a sumptuous seafood buffet and three-hour drinks package in the gorgeous surrounds of the Bazaar at QT Gold Coast. Enjoy an interactive dining experience with Bazaar chefs serving you while discussing the dishes and providing tasting notes along the way.

We’re on a mission to crown Gold Coast’s ultimate film and music trivia champions and want to have a lot of fun along the way. Teams of between two and five will come together for a night of cold hard facts and epic prizes presented in partnership with Gold Coast Music Awards and QT Gold Coast.
Movie and Music Trivia will be held in the QT Ballroom. Head down early and order your food and drinks from Stingray Bar with food delivered to your table or grab a beverage from the cash bar in the Ballroom.

The 2021 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is a 3 hour celebration of the mountain and adventure sport world. Sharing over 2 1/2 hours of the most exhilarating short films from explorers, runners, mountain bikers, skiers, paddlers and climbers from around the globe.
The tour is hot on the heels of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada.
More than 300 of the world’s best mountain sport, culture, environment, adventure, and exploration films are shown during the week-long event. A selection of award winners and audience favourites then tours the globe, visiting 390 communities and 35 countries as part of the festival’s official world tour.
This year, the Australian line-up features two-and-a-half hours of captivating short films shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world. The program is packed full of mesmerising cinematography, thought-provoking storylines and adrenaline-inducing action sequences.
The original and the best mountain film festival is presented by World Expeditions, and will be screening at the The J in Noosa.

The Women’s Adventure Film Tour presented by Crumpler is coming to Schonell to celebrate International Women’s Day!
The film tour is a collection of award-winning short films celebrating the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure.
This year’s lineup features a diverse set of films featuring women of all ages and backgrounds including Australian Olympic hopeful Lucy Stirling, New Zealand Olympian Janina Kuzma, World Champion Paraglider Klaudia Bulgakow and many more including women in snow sports, mountaineering, high lining, swimming and mountain biking.

The festival is open to any level of filmmaker and is supported by some of Australia’s premiere filmmakers and businesses.
The Capricorn Film Festival is competitive, with over $4,000 in prizes and trophies awarded on to the winners.

RULES AND TERM
– All Films must be submitted by 2nd November 2021
– Only films completed after 1st January 2020 will be considered
– Short Films: Any genre of film under 10 minutes length will be considered for CAPS Open and CAPS Junior.
– Films must not have appeared on Australian television, Pay TV or be screened on an internet site.
– Short Films do not require a premiere screening to be accepted.
– Must be subtitled in English if not English language .
– Filmmakers must enter the correct category. Festival staff reserve the right to request proof.
– Entrants may enter multiple films in multiple categories.
– Short Films must NOT contain; nudity, drug use or excessive violence.
– Feature Films must be suitable for audiences 15 years and above.
– Entrant must have copyright over the film and music submitted.
– You must pay the entry fee when you submit and upload your film via this submission site in the correct format to be in the running for any monetary prizes and trophies. Submissions must be received no later than the entry deadline with all required paperwork and releases provided.
Capricorn Film Festival 2022 is presented by Livingstone Shire Council, with other partners Visit Queensland, Australia Screen Queensland.
