The Golden Dragon Award (#GoldenDragonAward) is #ICFF's official #award to honour and encourage preeminent and significant #Chinesefilmmakers and their works. (Photo: #BingBingLI from 2014 ICFF Award Ceremony) #TheChineseDragon, or “Long”, is a mythological symbol that dates back to 3000 BC. It symbolizes power, excellence, and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. The image of dragons is deeply rooted in #Chineseculture. How much do you know about #ICFF and who we are? The International Chinese Film Festival (ICFF) is one of the most distinguished and significant Chinese cultural #events in Australia. Since 2009, ICFF has brought hundreds of top quality #Chinesefilms to Australian #screens and received massive media coverage and support from both Chinese industry partners and Australian local press. Welcome Ellen R. Eliasoph- the veteran film producer and the CEO of #VillageRoadshowPicturesAsia to join us as #ICFF's new appointed #jurymember. #EllenEliasoph is a veteran film executive and producer who has spent the last 25 years building bridges among #China’sfilmindustry, Hollywood and the global film market. Ms. Eliasoph became the first #Hollywood executive to be based in China when she established Warner Bros’ Beijing office in 1993. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. Long committed to the cause of cross-cultural cooperation between the U.S. and China, Ms. Eliasoph was one of the co-founders and producers of the #USAPavilion at the #2010ShanghaiWorldExpo. We are excited to announce that Australian Film Director & Writer Kimble Rendall will join us again in #ICFF10's jury panel. #KimbleRendall is an excellent Australian director, musician and writer, whose main works are "#Bait" and "#TheNest". He was also the co-founder of The Hoodoo Gurus, now considered #AustralianRockRoyalty. In 2016 Rendall co-wrote and directed #GuardiansoftheTomb(#谜巢), an Australian-Chinese science fiction horror thriller film. It is the largest co-production to date between China and Australia.
